Cursafosca is a semi-nocturnal mountain race, created to enjoy the Penedès mountains where we have a lot to discover close to home.

The TRAIL is a longer and very technical route, the CURSA is a shorter route with many trails and some technical sections, the HIKE is a magnificent route to be enjoyed bravely in the middle of nature. The three routes are entirely in Torrelles de Foix, a municipality in Alt Penedès, of which Vilafranca del Penedès is the capital. It borders the Baix Penedès, Alt Camp and Anoia counties and is located 367 meters above sea level.

 

The TRAIL (20km 1000 +) of a high level, in the first 6 km is where we have the highest differences, mainly consisting of quite technical trails and trails, we reach one of the highest peaks in the region: 748 m . (Puig de les Torres), 688m. (El Pujolet) and 645 m. (Santuari de Foix) where we will find refreshments, then the rest of the Trail is more of a runner with less steep gradients, The Santuari de Foix is located on top of a peak from where we cannot miss the magnificent views of the entire plain pre-coastal, the Garraf and even the sea. You will find an almost unprecedented route, with approximately 80% of trails make for a very attractive race, as we add new discoveries every year.

The CURSA (14 km 500 +) of a medium level, mainly made up of trails, some of which you will pass through for the first time, just to start we will climb the hill of Peret Anton where we do the first 120 positive meters in the first two km . After a series of trails passing through El Pujolet (688m.) we head to the Santuari de Foix (645m.) where we will find refreshments, then we will go down a trail where we will turn towards les Giberts we will pass through a series of trails under the forest where nature and the mountains will be enjoyed to the fullest, we will pass the Ermita de la Mare de Déu de Foix and we will do the last kilometers well into the darkness of the night to head towards the town of Torrelles de Foix where the magnificent 100% Km0 product catalan sausage sandwich will be waiting for us.

 

As it is a semi-nocturnal race, that is to say that we will start it during the day and finish it at night (for this reason it will be mandatory to wear a headlight) we will be able to enjoy the changes in light at dusk and well into the sunset, we will be accompanied by the moon to end a splendid day, in which we hope you will enjoy it with us.

From the organization we want to emphasize our commitment to reducing as much as possible the waste that the race can generate and in our goal of zero plastic, for this reason the use of your own glass or drum will be mandatory, since the organization does not will give plastic cup or any other container.
